Galaxy S25 Edge To Feature Same Primary Sensor As The Galaxy S25 Ultra

While highly hyped, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge has kept its fans waiting; the device did make an appearance at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event. Though the company did not let out much during the announcement about this sleek flagship in the Galaxy S25 lineup, new information about its camera specifications and design has just cropped up. A recent leak points to the Galaxy S25 Edge having several common features with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, including a 200MP main camera sensor.

Premium Camera Capabilities

While there has been some debate online, it seems Samsung will stick to a dual-camera setup for the Galaxy S25 Edge. According to a leak by @PandaFlashPro, though, the device is still going to be a top dog when it comes to photography. The 200MP primary sensor ensures class-leading image quality, detail, and clarity, just like in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Aside from the 200MP main sensor, the phone is going to house a 12MP ultrawide-angle camera, which is also featured in the regular Galaxy S25 model. At this point, some fans will be thinking as to why Samsung didn’t strap the S25 Edge with a 50MP ultrawide-angle sensor. This is largely a call aimed at cost-cutting.

Design and Display Details

While the Galaxy S25 Edge shares some of the camera features with the Ultra model, there are some significant differences in design and durability. Whereas the S25 Ultra sports Gorilla Armor 2 for added protection, the S25 Edge will be made from Gorilla Glass Victus 2, making it a bit less durable but still resistant to scratches and impacts.

Given that, the display of the Edge will likely be fitted with a 6.7-inch OLED panel by Samsung, promising the most saturated colors and deepest contrasts. The sleek, premium build will likely attract users who like their smartphone stylish and powerful.

Powerful Performance

Leaks further reveal that the Galaxy S25 Edge shall feature an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset to provide both swiftness and efficiency in performance. Additionally, it will have 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with sadly no 16GB option. For these specs, one can expect seamless multitasking, fluid gaming, and heavy applications to run smoothly on the S25 Edge.

Launch and Availability

The official Galaxy S25 Edge is expected in the second quarter of the year, around April. Although there is no confirmation from Samsung on the details, fans are still eager to learn more about this ultra-sleek flagship.

With a release date still a while ahead, leaks and official announcements should paint a finer picture of its features and how much the S25 Edge could cost. Samsung fans will only have to continue waiting and find out whether or not this is the phone worth all the hype. Watch this space for further updates!
