iPad Air lineup To Feature An M3 Chip Instead Of The M4

Apple is about to release the next gen iPad Air and it’s said to have a big performance boost with a more powerful chip. But the design won’t change. Apple just released the iPad Pro with M4 and most of its users are now waiting for the new iPad Air which will be a better option with good features at a lower price. A recent leak revealed that the new iPad Air will have Apple’s M3 chip. Interesting that the M3 chip was skipped in the iPad Pro series so now we have more questions about the Air version. M3 vs M4 Recent rumors said Apple might skip the M3 chip and use the M4 chip on the iPad Air. The iPad Air will follow the iPad Pro. But Apple wants to keep the two lines separate. Historically the iPad Air and iPad Pro shared a chip for a short time before Apple updated the Pro to make it better. This time it seems the iPad Air will settle for the M3 chip while the Pro will be the flagship with the M4 chip. iPad Air Leaks: Evan Blass, a well known leaker, has revealed the upcoming iPad Air. Blass says the new lineup will have 11-inch and 13-inch models with M3 chip. There’s also an entry level iPad rumored to have A17 Pro chip. Blass shared an image from source code supposedly of these unreleased models. The source is unknown but Blass has been accurate with Apple leaks in the past. The Chips Manufacturing issues might also be a factor in using the M3 chip on the iPad Air. The M4 chip uses TSMC’s 3nm process (N3B) which has low yields and is hard to mass produce. Apple might be using the M3 chip to balance performance and production efficiency. The leak also brings to light the chip that will be in the entry level iPad. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously said it might have the A17 Pro chip but this would put it on par with the iPad mini 7 which could cause overlap in Apple’s product lineup. Launch Date Along with the iPad Air and entry level iPad, the leak also mentions iPhone SE 4 but no details are given. Rumors say Apple will release these in Spring 2025 and announce them in April. While the leaks are interesting, nothing is official from Apple. We can only wait and see what the final specs of the new iPad Air lineup will be. Conclusion The next-generation iPad Air is shaping up to be a compelling option for users seeking powerful performance at a reasonable price. With the M3 chip at its core, the device promises to deliver significant upgrades while maintaining a familiar design. As anticipation builds, all eyes are on Apple’s upcoming announcements to see how the iPad Air will stack up against its Pro counterpart. Source

iOS 19 leak To Introduce Major Camera App Redesign

Perhaps the most anticipated tech event of the year is the annual iOS update from Apple. Normally, iOS versions first debut at WWDC in June and are released in September after months of beta testing. As we count down to iOS 19, rumors and leaks hint it’s going to be a huge update, just like where iOS 18 left off. Here’s the breakdown:. Release Date Apple’s latest iOS launch cycle is very revealing about when the iOS 19 will arrive. Typically, every new iOS hits the market the following Monday of the annual iPhone launching event. Let’s consider previous release dates for a comparison. iOS 18: September 16, 2024 iOS 17: September 18, 2023 iOS 16: September 12, 2022 With that in mind, iOS 19 is set to release on either Monday, September 15, 2025, or Monday, September 22, 2025. Awesome Features Expected in iOS 19 1. LLM Upgrade of Siri The biggest rumor circulating in the tech airwaves pertaining to iOS 19 is indeed its LLM upgrade of Siri. This would make Siri a lot more conversational and instinctive-just like ChatGPT’s high-order voice assistant interactions. Siri’s upgraded functionality will leverage on-device data and app integration, offering seamless interaction with Apple services. Developers can expand Siri’s capabilities further using App Intents, which allow actions within third-party apps. However, the full realization of this Siri transformation might not arrive until iOS 19.4, projected for 2026, mirroring the staggered rollout of major Siri updates in iOS 18. 2. Redesigned Camera App Renowned leaker Jon Prosser has dropped a major hint about a major overhaul of the Camera app. Said to take inspiration from Apple Vision Pro, the new design will be centered around a more transparent layout, condensed controls, and a larger viewfinder. 3. Home App Improvements This isn’t confirmed through any specific leaks, but the apparent focus on home smart products by Apple is evident. There are new smart home hubs and Face ID-enabled security cameras coming along, and deeper integration with the Home app will be needed for that. It could all come together in one more improved interface and features to serve these new devices. Beta Testing Timeline Apple will likely continue with the same pace for testing iOS 19 betas: Developer Beta: It always launches right after WWDC, which would be Monday, June 9, 2025. Public Beta:Arrives 4–6 weeks later. Final Release: September 2025. If you want to try out iOS 19 early, you can sign up for Apple’s beta program so you get the test builds as they are released. Device Compatibility iOS 19 will work on all iOS 18 compatible devices, including the following series of iPhones: iPhone 16 series iPhone 15 series iPhone 14 series iPhone 13 series iPhone 12 series iPhone 11 series iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR iPhone SE (2nd generation) Additionally, iOS 19 will debut alongside the new iPhone 17 models and iPhone SE 4 (possibly named iPhone 16E). Some features, such as Siri’s LLM upgrades, may be exclusive to newer models due to hardware requirements. Final Thoughts iOS 19 seems to be in a revolutionary stage of update, setting a new platform from the solid foundation laid down by iOS 18. A smarter Siri, a refreshed Camera application, and potential smart home integrations all speak volumes about Apple’s continuous innovation in an effort to further enhance user experience. In fact, even before the formal announcement at WWDC 2025, expectations for iOS 19 have begun building up. Source

Apple is putting the final touches on it as media briefings are set to happen soon to show off the new features of the wireless earbuds, as per Apple’s latest announcement from Bloomberg Mark Gurman. Sport Version of AirPods Pro The Powerbeats Pro series is sporty and fitness focused, unlike AirPods Pro. The most notable feature of these earbuds are the ear hooks which are adjustable to provide a secure and comfortable fit even during the most intense workouts. Last year Apple gave us a sneak peek of the Powerbeats Pro 2 with a teaser video featuring MLB star Shohei Ohtani. The video showed a more upright and slender design compared to the original model which was discontinued. TikTok Is Coming Back To US Soon!!

A blow to ByteDance’s owned popular social media platform, TikTok, comes in the form of a ban it faced in the United States when the Supreme Court upheld its order. This ban is as a result of a law that Congress passed last year dubbed the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. The order was such that would remove the application from Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store, and therefore, would send a very crucial message to its users: millions. App Pulled From Stores Before Official Ban Hits Hours before its official implementation, TikTok was sending users both on Android and iOS an in-app message stating, “A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the US.” A ray of hope: Trump vows to solve Then, in an unexpected twist, President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to work on a solution to revive the app. The message on the app suggested that indeed there may be some compromise after all, citing that Trump “has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office.” For many creators and users, this statement brought hope with Trump’s Inauguration only a day away. TikTok’s Comeback The incident happened shortly after the Trump’s remarks. Reports came out stating that TikTok was again available in some parts of the US. AP said that the app worked on multiple devices on Saturday afternoon after eradicating the limitations of pop-up restrictions. It also put out a statement on social media and hinted that the conflict would soon be over. Difficulty for ByteDance and Users The temporary relief is not sufficient to enable ByteDance for TikTok’s perpetuation in the US. President-elect Trump proposed an extension of 90 days, pending ByteDance’s initiation of the process of divesting its US operations. In the absence of a satisfactory buyer, TikTok’s future in the US is uncertain. In the meantime, people have turned to alternatives such as RedNote, an app based in China. But with RedNote storing data in uncertain ways, the replacement for TikTok is not an easy one to find. VPNs: An Unreliable Solution Some users have resorted to VPN apps to try and bypass the ban on TikTok. According to reports from USA Today, though, this is not a reliable means of accessing TikTok. So far, TikTok seems to have been fully removed from the app stores, leaving users with no clear direction on how to regain access. Conclusion: The Road Ahead for TikTok TikTok’s exit from the US market underscores the deepening concern regarding national security and data privacy. The promise from President-elect Trump might offer some light, but for ByteDance, a future of TikTok in the US would have to pass the gauntlet of difficult regulatory and operational issues. Time will tell whether it is back in or permanently excluded from the country. For millions of creators and users, the clock is ticking, and the future of TikTok hangs in the balance. Source

Nintendo Switch 2: Leaked Clock Speeds and Technical Insights

There has been much speculation over the Nintendo Switch 2, and new leaks over the clock speeds continue to build upon that buzz. Recent analysis by Digital Foundry-a group of technical experts-shines light on those leaks, thus offering insight into the hardware and maybe even the performance of the new console. Leaked Clock Speeds: A Closer Look A digital foundry podcast discussed the leaked clock speeds of the Nintendo Switch 2. The system seemed to run on an 8nm chip, which is within the realm of possibilities for the NVIDIA T239 chip. While the clock speeds seem reasonable for this sort of system, there were a few caveats: GPU Clock Speeds in Handheld Mode: The GPU clock speed for handheld mode seems a bit on the lower side, especially considering how effectively the system can cool. CPU Clock Speeds Surprisingly, the CPU clock speeds-running on eight Cortex A78 cores-are actually higher when the console is in portable mode compared to when it is docked. This unusual configuration could indicate that Nintendo disables cores in portable mode to save battery or uses different CPU frequency modes for docked mode. Barring these quirks, the clock speeds are about where one would reasonably expect them to be with an 8nm chip, further solidifying that the T239 chip is indeed the backbone of the Nintendo Switch 2. Memory Bandwidth and Display Concerns Another possible limitation is the system’s memory bandwidth in portable mode. If the rumors about the Switch 2 featuring a 1080p screen prove true, this bandwidth might just become a bottleneck. Unfortunately, the reveal trailer didn’t confirm the screen resolution, leaving fans guessing about the display’s capabilities. NVIDIA DLSS and Graphics Potential The Switch 2 is supposedly rocking some form of NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, but how it makes use of this tech is anyone’s guess. A short clip of Mario Kart in the reveal trailer didn’t indicate anything too new like NVIDIA DLSS or any other features Ampere can bring to the table. Digital Foundry noted that the console could include NVIDIA’s new Transformer Model for DLSS, but this model might be computationally too intensive for the more mobile-focused hardware of the Switch 2. Instead, it would be more plausible to use a more lightweight version of DLSS, as hinted at in a patent recently, which would let the system balance performance with its hardware limitations. What’s Next for the Nintendo Switch 2? It is now that an official at Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will hit the global market later this year. Fans won’t have to wait much longer for more information-the company is going to hold a dedicated Nintendo Direct event in early April. The event will dive deep into the console’s features, specifications, and game lineup. Final Thoughts The leak of the clock speeds and hardware details for the Nintendo Switch 2 hint at a promising, yet cautious, upgrade over its predecessor. With questions around performance in handheld mode and just how the system will make use of NVIDIA’s more advanced technologies, there is a great foundation with the 8nm chip and T239 architecture. As April approaches, anticipation builds for what could be Nintendo’s next big success. Source
Nubia Flip 2 Comes With Bigger Cover Screen

Last year we saw ZTE’s Nubia division shake things up with the Nubia Flip 5G-a foldable for a mere $499. That was a pretty bold undercut of competitors like the Tecno Phantom Z Flip and Moto Razr+ 2024, showing that foldables doesn’t need to be ridiculously expensive. Today, it’s pushing things even further by announcing the release of the Nubia Flip 2. The Nubia Flip Legacy The first Nubia Flip wasn’t a feature-set trendsetter, but it did the very important work of disrupting the foldable phone space with high prices. Up until recently, the term “foldable” was nearly synonymous with “expensive,” with prices sometimes more than $1,000. Products such as the Moto Razr 2024 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 continue this trend. Then foldables became more generally affordable when prices started to come down with devices like the Nubia Flip, Tecno Phantom Flip and entry-level versions of the Razr. In some ways, the 5G version of the original Nubia Flip was something of a harbinger of this trend because it showed foldable phones really could be rather competent without necessarily requiring too much cash being thrown at them. And now there’s the Nubia Flip 2. The Nubia Flip 2 Nubia has taken a fresh approach with the design of the Nubia Flip 2. Unlike its predecessor, which featured a prominent circular camera bump and a small external display, the new model goes for a sleeker, more practical design. That’s changed; the external display is now a rectangular 3-inch screen that dominates much of the front panel, even though it doesn’t quite match the expansive external displays on Samsung’s and Motorola’s foldables. Alongside the display, there’s space to place two separate camera sensors discreetly, as well as a ring light flash. It keeps the previous generation’s textured, matte-finished chassis that looks at once stylish and durable. However, one of the more obvious changes relates to the design of the frame. Whereas the first Nubia Flip had a completely flat frame – similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 -, the Flip 2 makes do with a rounded frame that may be easier to open and close. Display and Hardware The Nubia Flip 2 comes with excellent features considering its modest price. Outer Display: Size: 3 inches Resolution: 422 x 682 pixels (267 PPI) Inner Display: Size: 6.9 inches Technology: AMOLED Resolution: 1080p Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC which promises solid mid-range performance. Not intended for serious gamers, the chip still pushes out enough power for daily consumption. Driving the chipset is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Running on Android 14, the Nubia Flip 2 is quite competent in most regards. Camera Capabilities The camera on the Nubia Flip 2 is not particularly shabby. Headlined by a 50MP main sensor and a depth sensor with a resolution of 2MP, options for solid photography options are available. A 32MP selfie camera inside rounds out quality video calls and selfies. Additional Features and Battery It is fairly durable for day-to-day usage, thanks to the basic water and dust resistance provided by IP4X and IPX2 ratings. The 4,300mAh battery guarantees decent longevity, but specific details on charging speeds remain under wraps. Nubia also brings AI capabilities on the Flip 2 with features like a real-time call translator, call transcription, and a customizable voice assistant that boost its functionality further. Pricing and Availability Currently, the Nubia Flip 2 is only available in Japan for ¥64,080, which translates to approximately $410. If it were to ever come to other regions, it would be priced slightly different, but still the most unprecedented value for a foldable phone. A Gateway to Foldable Phones The Nubia Flip 2 is not positioned to compete with flagship foldables such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Moto Razr+. It’s an entry-point device for people wanting to join the foldable phone market, and for less than $500, it does bring solid performance, stylish design, and some pretty useful features. Conclusion: The Nubia Flip 2 carries forward the brand’s tradition of democratizing foldable technology by offering impressive value at a price that’s hard to beat. Source
